Trippy Goat Vodka is a bold, fast-rising vodka brand rooted in quality, originality, and hustle. Distilled with care and character, we’re not just selling vodka—we’re creating a movement. We’re looking for a driven, self-starting Sales Representative to grow and build out our territory in the greater Montgomery County, Maryland area.

 

About the Role:

As our Montgomery County Sales Representative, you’ll be the boots on the ground for Trippy Goat Vodka, owning and growing a high-potential territory from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for building out the Trippy Goat presence across retail and on-premise accounts , creating lasting relationships, and driving both new placements and pull-through sales.

Your responsibilities will include opening at least 5 new accounts per week , overseeing monthly tastings , and working directly with decision-makers at liquor stores, bars, restaurants, hotels, catering halls, and more .

 

As a Sales Representative, you will cultivate and grow off-premise account relationships in Montgomery County to maximize the sales of supplier brands through effective planning, selling execution, and communication, resulting in the achievement of company and supplier objectives

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of Montgomery County and build out a thriving sales territory
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Trippy Goat Vodka sales in Montgomery County
  • Visit assigned and potential liquor stores daily to drive sales and ensure strong brand presence
  • Build relationships with store owners, managers, and staff to promote Trippy Goat
  • Negotiate shelf space, displays, and promotions
  • Execute local marketing programs and tasting events as needed
  • Monitor and report sales performance and competitor activity
  • Visit accounts daily to build relationships, educate staff, and close new placements
  • Call on and open a minimum of 5 new accounts per week
  • Manage and grow a pipeline of accounts across liquor stores, restaurants, bars, hotels, and event venues
  • Secure product placement, shelf space, menu listings, and in-store visibility
  • Coordinate and oversee four tasting events per month to drive product trial and brand awareness
  • Execute local marketing initiatives and collaborate on promotional programs
  • Monitor market trends and report key feedback to the team
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals with an entrepreneurial, go-getter attitude
  • Develop and maintain relationships with off-premise accounts, including liquor stores, to drive sales and brand visibility.
  • Plan and execute a daily schedule of calls for assigned sales route, ensuring efficient coverage and customer engagement.
  • Analyze the entire account base by visiting each account and identifying opportunities; complete all necessary surveys and ensure national account compliance where applicable.
  •  Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to customers, balancing the company's priorities and customers' needs, including new products, well and back bar placements and resets, drink and wine lists, and promotions.
  • Maintain product levels in accounts by taking inventory and restocking shelves (where legally permissible).
  • Educate account staff on priority brands by administering educational staff training seminars.
  • Manage customer account receivables by timely processing of credits and returns and communicating with accounts on aged receivables.
  • Service accounts by delivering products to customers in extenuating circumstances, handling customer issues and complaints, and referring these issues, as appropriate, to management.
  • Participate in effective supplier work with sales calls and sales blitzes.
  • Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public and responsibly handle beverage alcohol products.
  • Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2+ years in sales (preferably in spirits, wine, beer, or CPG)
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and highly adaptable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Must be 21+, have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance

 

 

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone.
  • Regularly required to reach overhead, squat, and bend.
  • Carrying and lifting 45-65 pounds
