Description Michael Werner Gallery is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented communications assistant to join our team in Beverly Hills. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in gallery communications and operations at a leading international gallery representing some of the most influential artists of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Responsibilities include opening and closing the gallery; greeting and providing visitors with exhibition information; fielding phone and general email inbox inquiries; staffing and coordinating gallery events; maintaining the organization and inventory of back office; updating internal reference and protocol documents; using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign to process images and create sales packets; updating artwork records on digital databases; creating and editing video content using Premiere and Final Cut Pro. The position is full-time. Five days per week, Tuesday - Saturday from 10am - 6pm. Additional hours as needed during openings and events. Successful candidates must be motivated, personable, organized and detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Adobe Suite and database applications required. 1-2 years' professional experience required, gallery and/or institutional experience preferred.
