Job Description

Overview: The Clinical Informatics Specialist II demonstrates advanced informatics analysis skills and utilizes clinical background to plan, manage, problem solve, and mitigate risk during the deployment of applications and work process transformations. Clinical Informatics: Serves as a facility liaison between the patient care team and Information Services to coordinate, plan and monitor the adoption and use of EMR and other healthcare technologies in operational processes. Components of this role include assisting with implementation, support, adoption, and optimization of EMR and other associated technologies. Provides facilitation and consultation services to assigned clinical departments and participates in departmental initiatives and identifies ways that information technology will improve the care team workflow. May assist with application build changes. Possesses the ability to work independently and prioritize work according to deadlines and organizational initiatives to produce assigned outcomes. Applies adult learning theories and principals within the design of educational delivery. Acts as a role model, educator and champion for end users in understanding, utilizing, optimizing and designing systems and processes to increase efficiency. Collaborates with organizational governance to ensure the alignment of information technology with operational goals. Oversees healthcare projects from start to finish planning, organizing, and directing the completion of specific projects in the organization ensuring these projects are on time and within scope. Licensure: Registered Nurse Required - And EPIC Certification in Area of Responsibility Required - Within 6 Months of Hire Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing Or Education Or Related Field Required - And Master's Degree Medical Informatics Preferred Experience: 5 Years Clinical - Related Area Or Information Technology - Technical - Healthcare And Electronic Medical Records Required
